ThinkNatal Education and Training Hub includes a series of self-paced programs inviting you to deepen your understanding of birth-related trauma. Delve into aspects of psychological and physical birth trauma, the impacts on fathers and non-birthing parents, and discussion about preventable trauma while gaining valuable insights from individuals who have a lived experience of birth-related trauma.

This course also aligns closely with the ethical practice requirements for continuing professional development (CPD) by:

  • Discussing the importance of informed consent and respecting the autonomy of individuals during childbirth.
  • Promoting the ethical principles of non-maleficence (do no harm) and beneficence (act in the best interest of the patient).
Course Access

This course is available to access for 12 months post-purchase. As ThinkNatal is a learning community and the understanding of birth trauma and its effects grows, course content will be continually updated.

  • Evaluate lived experience stories to understand the personal impact of birth-related trauma.
  • Review recent research on the impact of traumatic births on fathers, partners, and non-birthing parents.
  • Discuss advocacy efforts aimed at improving birth-related trauma screening, diagnosis, and support services.
